Hello!

What can I tell you about me...

Well, first the outer characteristics: 37 years young, 1.80m tall, short dark hair, blue/grey eyes & freckles.

I am married to Carsten, a wonderful husband (and cute too *grin*) and together we have a son, Leander. He is a Miracle with a capital m, we love him deeply and he is our treasure. Leander is our proof: there always is hope.

The world wide web showed it's mysterious entrance to me in 1996... How hard I tried, I could not comprehend the technical science that connected my computer to the world. But who cares about technical details anyway LOL - that 14k4 modem opened up the world for me and thát was amazing. From my little village in the province Zeeland, the Netherlands, I surfed around and made friends in all corners of the world.

It started with bulletin board systems, soon followed by IRC, ICQ and Yahoo. Chatting, IM'ing and emailing with people all over the world, my phonebill went skyhigh and my horizon kept expanding.

Citizen of the World
that is what I became thanks to the internet...

Thank heavens I moved to another village and there I got cable internet. So long 56K modem (I upgraded a few times LOL) and *hello world* at 128K... I'd never return to that speed now LMAO but then it was just fabulous.

A new computer, and I can't remember how or when but... I got a copy of Paint Shop Pro.
At first I didn't understand one bit of this way too complicated program and almost tossed it aside... but then I found a few tutorials, and started to look for more. And more. And MORE! This was great, I never could draw with pen or pencil but I always had felt the creativity flowing through me. And now, with PSP, I could let it out... colors, shapes, images, stationeries, frames, sigtags, backgrounds, html, it never bored me and still does not. My computer, the internet and PSP/webdesign are part of my daily life and I cannot imagine life without it. The same goes for my friends around the world.

Big hug/dikke knuffel,
Annemarie
